Workshops
Develop your creativity and produce an amazing piece of clay art worthy of proud display. As an aspiring artist, with or without experience, you will make your pottery or sculpture masterpiece from your own creative ingenuity, at your own pace and with plenty of one-on-one guidance from Cathy Spencer, Award Winning Potter and Sculptor.
The Fried Mudd studio runs several workshops throughout the year. You will find a list below of our current workshops. We also cater to private groups – if you have your own group of friends let me know what dates work for you and we can create a one day or weekend workshop just for you!

The first Beauties workshop for 2026 ...
And the season matches the bathing Beauties theme - start planning those skimpy cozzies and broad brimmed hats!
This is almost a sculpture class in its own right! In this workshop you will create your own Bathing Beauty. I will guide you through step by step how to create the form. No experience is necessary, just a smile!

Mudd Bunnies!!
The Hares in Clay workshop is now second only to the Bathing Beauties in popularity - everyone loves these cute little characters.
In this workshop you will be shown how to create your very own clay Hare, using slabs and coils. Once formed, we will apply oxides and dry glazes to complete your piece.
Snugglebutts - 07-02-2026
New for 2026!
Join me for a light-hearted and creative clay workshop where you’ll bring your very own Snugglebutt to life! These whimsical, big-hearted figures with their striped leggings and cheeky butts are full of personality and sass.
Guided step by step, you’ll shape your Snugglebutt from clay, giving her her own character and style. Underglazes will be applied during the workshop so she’s ready for her final firing.
No experience is needed—just a sense of play and a willingness to get your hands a little muddy. By the end, you’ll have a delightful, one-of-a-kind Snugglebutt to take home and treasure.
