This is my third workhsop at Fried Mudd Studio and i highly recomnend joining one of the workshops. Its a great mix of fun, patience and relaxation...along with learning some skills. One thing is for sure you leave feeling really excited about the piece of work you created and immediately start planning the next class. Last weekend I was lucky enough to go to my first workshop with Cathy on making a kookaburra. I was impressed by Cathy’s beautiful studio, her relaxed teaching style, and her ability to both teach and help us all create our own unique pieces. Just did a pottery workshop making a kookaburra and it was a fantastic experience. Kathy is so talented and delightful to work with. This was only my second time doing a clay workshop with Cathy and I have thoroughly enjoyed both. Cathy is a great teacher and spends time with each and every student to make sure they get the guidance they need to end up with a piece they are happy to take home and display. I really enjoyed the hares workshop, firstly the studio was easy to find with parking. The work space was ample with not too many participants so we all got plenty of individual attention from Cathy. This was my first attempt at pottery so I was a little apprehensive and wondered what my hare would look like at the end of the day. Fortunately the workshop also provides templates for quite a few of the body parts and Cathy demonstrates how to form and place them. At the end of the day I did create an easily recognisable hare which I was really pleased with. Cathy has created the most beautiful, welcoming space and a truly magical program. Even if you do not consider yourself artistic, she gently guides you to create something you feel proud of and that friends are genuinely amazed by. Her patience, kindness, and encouragement are a rare gift. The day feels nourishing for the soul, offering a lovely chance to slow down, connect with others, and simply enjoy the joy of playing with clay together. Thank you Cathy and Fried Mudd!

Have learned so much from Cathy's wonderful workshops. She creates a calm, friendly place as well as leading through the sculpture of the day. Everyone creates their own version. This time we made cockatoos. One was black & the others sulphur crested beauties.
